Thomas H. Anderson, 79, of Falconer, passed away Saturday (March 9, 2013) in Buffalo General Hospital.
He was born Nov. 10, 1933, in Erie, Pa., the son of the late Gus and Beatrice Anderson.
Tom was a graduate of Academy of Erie High School and received a football scholarship from Colgate University. He graduated from Colgate University with a bachelor's degree in education. He was employed by the Falconer Central School system from 1962-93 having taught middle school social studies. Tom had also served as assistant football coach for the Falconer Golden Falcons under Coach Bill Race.

He was a member of the Sons of The American Legion of the Henry Mosher Post 638, First Spiritual Church of Erie, Pa. and The Church of The Living Spirit in Lily Dale. Tom enjoyed football, golfing and bowling.
Surviving is his wife, Beverly E. Case Anderson, whom he married Aug. 6, 1970, in Mexico; his stepson, Ricky Sikes of Kennedy; his stepdaughter, Kim Kahanic of Falconer; and five step-grandchildren: Carrianne Kahanic, Christopher Kahanic, Nicholas Kahanic, Brooke Sikes and Jenna Sikes.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Anderson.
A celebration of Tom's life will be held at a later date.
