St. Timothy Lutheran Church will host the third week of their Health and Wellness: Complimentary Alternatives to Traditional Medicine Lenten Series on Wednesday evening. The worship service begins at 7:15 p.m., and will feature this week's guest speaker, Valerie DiCarlo, who will speak about and demonstrate yoga. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Before moving to Chautauqua County in 1977, DiCarlo taught yoga, creative dance and dance for fitness in Erie County for 14 years. She continues to teach yoga here, and has done so since her arrival. Her classes are offered at the YWCA of Jamestown, all levels of experience, for the Senior Citizen Chair Yoga program at the Jamestown Savings Bank Arena and for programs through Jamestown Community College's Continuing Education Department. She has provided numerous yoga series and workshops for local groups, as well as private sessions with individuals with and/or without disabilities.
Preceding the worship service, there is a no-cost dinner at 6:30 p.m. and all are welcome. The community is invited to worship, and learn more about Health and Wellness: Complimentary Alternatives to Traditional Medicine.
