An investigation is continuing after Jamestown police on Sunday arrested two city teenagers accused of assaulting and robbing a male victim near the Charlestown Apartments.
Police have charged Malek A. Morley and Kyle R. Senear, both 18, with first-degree robbery, second-degree assault and fourth-degree conspiracy for the late-night incident.
Police said a male victim, who has not been identified, was meeting some friends at 11 p.m. at the Charles Street apartment complex Sunday when he was assaulted by individuals in the group. During the assault, the victim was stabbed in the knee and was struck by a bottle, Jamestown police said.
One of the suspects allegedly stole money from the victim, and the group fled the scene, a police report noted. Patrols aware of the description of the suspects later located and identified Morley and Senear. They were transported to Jamestown City Jail and were held pending arraignment.
Police were continuing their investigation Monday, said Capt. Robert Samuelson of the Jamestown Police Department. Samuelson could not release a motive for the attack, which left the male victim with non-life-threatening injuries.
"We're still investigating at this time," he said.
Other individuals involved are being sought.
No further information on the assault was available.
