ALBUQUERQUE, N.M - Fredonia native Jenn Suhr can now add a new accomplishment to her already impressive pole vault resume - world record holder.
Suhr cleared 16-feet-5 on Saturday at the USA Indoor Track and Field Championships to claim the record.
The original record was 16-5 set by Russia's Yelena Isinbayeva on Feb. 23, 2012.
Suhr also held the American record at 16-0.
Second place went to Kylie Hudson, who cleared 15-7 while third place went to Lancaster native Mary Saxer at 15-1.
