A Friday evening drug raid led by the Jamestown Police Department resulted in the arrest of one city man.
Around 6 p.m. police executed a search warrant at 516 W. Sixth St., after an investigation revealed that the occupant was selling and distributing crack cocaine in and around the Jamestown area.
Investigators, who were assisted by members of the Jamestown SWAT team, located Raymond L. Johnson, 32, of Jamestown inside the residence. While inside the residence, police located and seized a quantity of crack cocaine along with cash and a scale.
Johnson was taken to the city jail where he was later arraigned and committed to the Chautauqua County Jail on charges of third-degree possession of a controlled substance (Class-B felony), second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia and criminal contempt.
