MINA - Three Pennsylvania residents, including a one-year-old child, were sent to the hospital following an early morning accident involving a car and tractor trailer on the Southern Tier Expressway.

According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office, Matthew McBride, 39; Esmerelda McBride, 28; and a one-year-old child, all of Monacacy Lane, Westfield, were transported to Hamot Hospital in Erie, Pa., after the pickup truck they were in collided with a parked semi tractor trailer around midnight.

The Sheriff's Office said the truck, driven by Dale Legg, 52, of Medina, Ohio, had stopped on Interstate 86 in the eastbound lane due to poor viability. Legg was not injured in the accident.

Deputies said Matthew McBride ran into the parked semi tractor trailer.

No charges have been filed. Firefighters from Sherman, Findley Lake and Ashville responded to the scene.

No further information from the Sheriff's Office was available. An investigation is ongoing.
