The Pink Panthers of Findley Lake and the Findley Lake Chamber of Commerce will hold their annual vintage snowmobile poker run and show on Saturday.
In addition to the run, anyone interested can bring their vintage snowmobile to be judged for prizes and awards.
Registration and show are from 11 a.m. to noon at Pine Junction, 9757 Bailey Hill Road, Findley Lake. Stops include Pine Junction, French Creek Tavern, Jimmy Z's and the Blue Heron Inn. Hands will be called at 5 p.m. at Pine Junction.
The ride will travel the trail system the Chautauqua Lake Snowmobile Club maintains in and around the greater Findley Lake area. The event qualifies for state special event permit and registrants will not need a state snowmobile registration. The one-day event has been given a special event pass, which means riders can bring their snowmobile on a trailer to Pine Junction and, weather permitting, ride the roughly 15 miles of CLSC designated trails. The only cost is a $10 donation.
Rules and regulations will apply and be supplied during registration. Riders must carry insurance.
Proceeds will be donated to Pink Ribbon Riders, which provide financial assistance to both men and women diagnosed with breast cancer. The Pink Ribbon Riders hostssnowmobile and many other events as fund raisers. The Pink Ribbon Riders is a small volunteer-based organization. To date, more than 600 people diagnosed with breast cancer have received help from the group.
