CHEEKTOWAGA - Silver Creek rolled a 5,312 team total, which earned the Black Knights the Class D title as 47 area schools competed in the Section 6 Boys High School Bowling Championships at Thruway Lanes on Friday.
Forestville was the runner-up in Class D, posting a 4,884 total.
Overall, Fredonia was the top team from all Chautauqua County schools, finishing 12th overall with a team total of 5,339.
Silver Creek's 5,312 total was 13th overall, followed by Dunkirk in 20th place with 5,186, Jamestown took 25th place with 5,086, Southwestern was 27th with 5,047, Gowanda took 33rd place with 4,890, Forestville was 34th overall with 4,884, Randolph finished 37th with 4,746, Brocton was next in 39th place with 4,701 and Frewsburg placed 42nd with a 4,508 total.
In Class A, Frontier claimed the divisional title and the overall championship with 5,931 with Orchard Park the runner-up with 5,888.
Grand Island took first in Class B with 5,846 and Cheektowaga was second with 5,731 and in Class C, Eden took the crown with 5,529, followed by Lackawanna with 5,507.
