Myrtle Johnson, 99, of the Manchester Presbyterian Lodge, Erie, Pa., went home to be with her Lord on Sunday (Feb. 10, 2013), in the St. Vincent Health Center, Erie, Pa.
A former resident of Jamestown, N.Y., and Sugar Grove, Pa., she was born March 29, 1913, in Lottsville, Pa., a daughter of the late Merritt and Ingia Howard Johnson.
She was a graduate of Sugar Grove High School and Jamestown Business College.
She had been employed as an office worker for the former Norquist Products in Jamestown, N.Y., where she worked for many years.
She is survived by her grandnieces: Pamela Bruce Niedhammer (Michael) of Girard, Pa., and Patricia Bruce Gallagher (Joseph) of Marietta, Pa.; her grandnephew, David Bruce (Kathy) of Erie, Mich.; great-grandnephews: Joseph Gallagher (Georgi-na), Jasen Bruce (Nicole), Jeremy Bruce and Daniel Bruce (Sandy); great-grandnieces: Jessica Gallagher Siedman (John), Ju-lia Bruce Kurtz and Katie and Mariah Bruce.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Bruce; her brother-in-law, Clarence Bruce; her nephew, Leonard Bruce and his wife, Lois Bruce.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed. Burial will be in the Lottsville Cemetery, Lottsville, Pa.
