Southwestern Middle School announced students of the month for October and November.
In October, Team 6 chose Madelyn Yochim, the daughter of Barrie and Jullie Yochim of Jamestown. Madelyn is in the sixth grade, and her favorite school subjects are social studies and math. She is a member of the Southwestern Band and Choir, the Southwestern Soccer Club, South Chautauqua United Travel Soccer, Sunset Valley Youth Golf League and Sharks Swimming. She likes to play soccer, swim, read, play with her dog, Lexie, and play the clarinet.
Team 7 chose Max Kane, the son of Jake and Wendy Kane of Lakewood. Maxwell is in the seventh grade, and his favorite school subjects are math and science. He is a member of the Southwestern cross country team, band, choir, jazz band, ski club and Southwestern Soccer Club U14 League. He enjoys skiing, playing tennis, golf and swimming.
Team 8 chose Adam Digirolamo, the son of Gayle Digirolamo of Lakewood and David Digirolamo.
In November, Team 6 chose Kylie Brown, the daughter of Michael and Wendy Brown of Jamestown. Kyle is in the sixth grade, and her favorite school subjects are social studies and math. She is a member of the Middle School Student Council and Southwestern Rec Soccer. She enjoys playing soccer and reading.
Team 7 chose Makayla Dole, the daughter of Chris Dole of Lakewood and Jessica Cobb. Makayla is in the seventh grade, and her favorite school subjects are social studies and science. She is a member of the Southwestern basketball, swimming and softball teams and also the Lakewood Legion Junior Auxiliary. She enjoys hanging out with friends, going to the movies, painting, drawing, reading and practicing her flute.
Team 8 chose Addie Everson, the daughter of Bill and Sandy Everson of Jamestown. Addie is in the eighth grade, and her favorite school subjects are science, art, band and music. She is a member of the Southwestern soccer, basketball and track teams, the Ski and Snowboard Club, Student Council and also the Sacred Heart Youth Group and SWAS Soccer. She enjoys hanging out with her friends and family.
