HANOVER - A despondent call on Alleghany Road led to charges against a Hanover man last week.
The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office said Vincent E. Tundo, 58, was charged on Feb. 7 after sheriffs deputies and Silver Creek Police responded to a report of a despondent person. While attempting to locate the individual and obtain the status of their well-being, Tundo pushed Silver Creek Police out the door and locked it, the Sheriff's Office said in a news release.
For interfering with police on their investigation, Tundo was charged with second-degree obstructing governmental administration and second-degree harassment.
Tundo was issued appearance tickets and is due back in Hanover Court at a later date.
No further information regarding the incident was available.
