The search for a new director of development for Jamestown has come to a close.
Mayor Sam Teresi is announcing the appointment of Vince DeJoy this afternoon. DeJoy is a Jamestown native and serves as the Ward 4 representative on the City Council.
In his new position, DeJoy will oversee development, code enforcement and neighborhood initiatives in the city. The development director also serves as executive secretary of the Jamestown Urban Renewal Agency.
The appointment came following the retirement of Steve Centi, who had served in the positions since 2000.
