Jamestown Man Charged Following Cocaine Bust

A drug investigation resulted in one Jamestown resident being taken to the Chautauqua County Jail on Friday.

Raheem A. Butts, 21, of Jamestown, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance at 2 p.m.

Drug investigators from the Jamestown Police Department executed a search warrant at 31 Charles St. after an investigation into the illegal sales of crack cocaine revealed that the drug was being sold from the residence. Investigators located a quantity of cocaine and cash inside the apartment, and Butts was subsequently charged.

Butts was taken into custody and brough to the city jail where he was later arraigned and committed to the Chautauqua County Jail.
