LANCASTER - The Jamestown indoor track and field teams competed in the third Varsity Select Meet on Saturday and despite the slick surface and the rounded-rectangle shape of the track, the team put in stellar performances, including an unlikely new school record.
Olivia Zabrodsky started her day with a second-place finish in the 1,000-meter run. Her time of 3:08.9 is a new school record, eclipsing the 3:11.5 set by Kailey Harvey in 2006 (which was set on the faster track at Fredonia State).
Zabrodsky led the whole race, but was nipped at the finish line.
