The United Arts Appeal of Chautauqua County will accept applications until April 15 for grants from their 2013 Projects Pool of funds.

These may include municipal groups, churches, and other organizations.
The UAA also supports arts-based organizations which are regular members of their organization, with grants which may be larger.

On Friday, from 7-9 p.m., the Patterson Library of Westfield will hold an opening reception for the artist in their latest exhibit in their Octagon Gallery. An exhibit of the art of Mark P. Gillespie will be shown at the gallery through March 22.
The exhibit is titled "An American Music in Art Extravaganza." Gillespie is recovering from a stroke, suffered in December, which will make it impossible for him to attend the reception, but gallery staff members will welcome the public and answer questions about the art.
Works by friends of Gillespie's will be shown, in addition to his works. Refreshments will be served, and both the reception and the subsequent days of exhibit will be with no admission charge.
For additional information about the exhibit, phone the library at 326-2154 or send an email to email@example.com.
The library is located at 40 W. Portage St., in Westfield.
