SINCLAIRVILLE - The Sinclairville 76ers recently received a birthday party donation.
The group is the Meals on Wheels program for the Cassadaga Valley area, designed to provide a hot meal to many through delivery or to those who can attend at the Sinclairville Fire Department dining room.
Meals are prepared in the Sinclairville dining room, and delivered by many volunteers. Richard Smith is the president and Patti France is the social worker for the site. The 76ers is a part of the Chautauqua County Office for the Aging.
Kari Gustafson, left, presents the donation to Elsie Livermore, site manager; and Tommie Alford, trustee of the Sinclairville 76ers.
Recently, Mrs. France's granddaughter, Kari Gustafson, celebrated her 16th birthday. In planning for her birthday party, Ms. Gustafson sent a note in all invitations that monetary gifts would be welcomed and would be donated to the 76ers Meals on Wheels. Ms. Gustafson was inspired by her grandmother, who very much believes in the Meals on Wheels outreach program. At the birthday, $180 was donated for the 76ers, and recently was presented to some of the personnel at the luncheon site.
