A subject who left WCA Hospital on Tuesday afternoon briefly led police on a whirlwind chase.
The incident began around 2:45 p.m., when Jamestown police officers reported chasing a subject near the Gateway Center on Water Street in the city. The subject then was reported near Allen and Winsor streets.
Three Jamestown police vehicles and a State Police patrol car were seen in the area of Allen Street at the time of the incident.
According to Linda Johnson, WCA Hospital public relations officer, a patient had left the hospital and later returned. Johnson said the subject was receiving medical care after being returned. No further information was released due to privacy laws.
Jamestown police declined to comment on the incident, noting no arrest was made.
