Reinwald Sets Another Record In Clymer Win

CLYMER - Senior Dani Reinwald established a new record for blocking shots and came up with second-best game rebounding total for the Clymer girls on Monday night in a 61-33 Division 4 win over West Valley.

Reinwald blocked 11 shots to break the old record of 10 set by Julie Nagle against Frewsburg back in 1988.

She also grabbed 25 rebounds for the second best total to Darlene Sexton's total of 29 way back in 1976 against Chautauqua.

When she wasn't doing the rejecting and rebounding, Reinwald scored 21 points and handed out five assists in the Lady Piratess (6-1, 11-1) win over West Valley (4-5, 7-8).

The Pirates came out impressively with a 19-6 opening quarter as Reinwald scored eight of her 12 first half points.

Jo-Linda Rhodes contributed 10 points and M.J.. Trisket added eight points, Carly McAfoose seven points and Kayla Gilkinson six for the winners.

SHERMAN WINS AGAIN

SHERMAN - The Sherman Lady Wildcats (13-1, 8-1) continued to roll along in Division 4 girls basketball with a 68-28 win over Brocton 3-8, 2-6).

Sherman took control from the beginning with a 24-2 first-quarter lead.

Elle Reed led the Lady Wildcats with 33 points, nine steals and six assists. Samantha Delcamp had 15 points and Bridgett Yaw had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Danielle Reed added 12 points and eight rebounds, and Julie Rater had11 rebounds.

Morgan Bennett led Brocton with seven points.
