She was born February
17, 1917, in Celoron, the
daughter of Oscar and
Rowena Davis Buckalew.
She was employed by
Jamestown Public School
System as a secretary, retiring in 1965. She earlier had
worked for Empire Mutual
Life Insurance Company.
She was a member of the
National Secretary's Association and the Home
Bureau.
Surviving are two children: Ron (Alice) Miller of
Orchard Park, N.Y. and Dianne Whitehead of Mt.
Laurel, N.J.; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in
death by her husband J.
Arthur Miller, whom she
married June 22, 1940, and
who died Nov. 12, 2002,
and a daughter, Kay Miller
Anderson.
The funeral will be held
at 11 a.m. Wednesday in
the Lind Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Lake
View Cemetery.
Friends will be received
for one hour prior to the
service Wednesday in the
funeral home.
