Emogene M. Swanson,
100, formerly of the Frewsburg Rest Home, died Friday Jan. 25, 2013 in Heritage Green Rehab and
Skilled Nursing.

An area resident all of
her life, she was born April
10, 1912, in Jamestown, a
daughter of Albin and Sophia Johnson Frankson.
She was employed by
John W. Tiffany Post No.
53 VFW as a custodian and
earlier had worked for
Manor Oak Skilled Nursing
Facility as a cook and for
Jamestown Royal Furniture.
She is survived by many
nieces and nephews including niece Kathy Westerburg, who was like a
daughter to her, and a special nephew, Winston
Frankson.
She was preceded in
death by her husband, Alvin H. Swanson, whom she
married Sept. 24, 1938, in
Immanuel Lutheran
Church, and who died April
28, 2006; a sister, Allene
Youngberg, and four brothers: Raymond, Stanley,
Carl and Harry Frankson.
The funeral will be held
at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the
Lind Funeral Home. The
Rev. Jerry McCann will officiate.
Burial will be in Sunset
Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received
for one hour prior to the
service Tuesday in the funeral home.
