DUNKIRK - Khee Nance's 17 points and 10 rebounds paced the Dunkirk Lady Marauders (6-2, 8-4) to a 51-39 victory at home over the Southwestern Lady Trojans (3-5) in Division 1 girls basketball Thursday night.

Dunkirk head coach Sarah Bogardus credited her team for a great start, out-pacing the Lady Trojans 14-4 in the opening frame.

"I think we did a very good job coming out with energy," Bogardus said. "We did a very nice job of putting defensive pressure on the guards, which got our defense going."

A 23-9 Dunkirk halftime lead was challenged in the third quarter, as the Lady Trojans held a 20-13 advantage in the period. Bogardus credited Southwestern for coming out with "really good momentum" to begin the second half.

Nance added seven steals and four assists in the win, while Dimari Maisonett added six points, four rebounds, three assists and five steals for the Lady Marauders.

Emily Wuebbolt led Southwestern with 13 points and Jenna Yuchnitz had 10.
