The Jamestown Chiefs are holding semi-professional football tryouts for players ages 17 and up on Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. at the Jamestown Savings Bank Arena.
Registration is set for Tuesday from 6-7:30 p.m. All paperwork must be completed prior to the meeting and no one is accepted after 7:30 p.m.
The meeting will introduce prospective players to the new coaches of the Chiefs.
There is a $25 registration fee with the first 25 registering receiving a Jamestown Chiefs t-shirt.
All home games are played at Strider Field and the season in the Northeast Football Alliance begins in June and continues through August.
Practices are held three times weekly from March until the season opener and then twice a week during the regular season. Games are on Saturdays.
The tryouts consists of timed 40-yard sprints, 20 shuffles, a broad jump and a 225-pound bench press. All results are kept for future endeavors.
All individuals are asked to wear regular gym shoes and, time permitting, the quarterbacks will throw routes to the wide receivers.
