JHS parents and students have received that early morning snow day call or received an important message from the principal. Both originate from the district's GlobalConnect automated calling system. Beginning at the start of the second semester, the JHS Attendance Committee will implement a new feature, GlobalConnect's Attendance Call Back, which allows JHS attendance staff to send mass phone calls to families, alerting them that their child is not in school as expected. Parents will additionally receive telephone prompts asking them if they want to be directly routed to the attendance office staff to inquire more closely regarding the circumstances surrounding the absence. A key component when implementing the feature is to ensure that each family has provided the most current cellphone number and email address to the main office.
