Frances I. DeAngelo, 94, formerly of Nort Work Street, Falconer, passed away Sunday (Jan. 13, 2013) in the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center.
She was the widow of Dominic DeAngelo, whom she married in 1940, who died in 1981.
A lifelong area resident, she was born Jan. 22, 1918, in Falconer, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Nicosia Messina.
Frances was a graduate of Falconer High School and in earlier years was employed by the former Na-tional Worsted Mills. She was a member of Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church and its Altar and Rosary Society.
Surviving is her son, Sam (Beatrice) DeAngelo of Sandusky, Ohio; five grandchildren: Christine (Dr. Carl) Engel of Rockport, Mass.; Dominic (Becky) DeAngelo of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; Carla (Kevin) Pelz of Sandusky, Ohio; Nicole (Damon) Dohar of Youngstown, Ohio; Toni (Christopher) Congeni of Akron, Ohio; and nine great-grandchil-dren: Abby and Jake Engel; Camille, Marisa and Lea DeAngelo; Dominique, Kyle and Gianna Pelz; and DeAngelo Dohar.
Besides her husband she was preceded in death by an infant brother and sister.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Wednesday (Jan. 16, 2013) in Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church. The Rev. Joseph Janaczek, pastor of the church, will be celebrant. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Friends will be received by the family from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday (Jan. 15, 2013) in the Falconer Funeral Home. The Altar and Rosary So-ciety of OLL will conduct a rosary service at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. A Christian Wake service will be held at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday in the fun-eral home.
