The Jamestown Raiders had a productive second period on Saturday in edging Depew, 6-4, at the Jamestown Savings Bank Arena in Western New York Club Hockey action.
After spotting Depew a 1-0 lead in the first period, the Raiders scored four times in the second with Billy Krywy finding the net twice within two minutes as Justin Andriaccio and Collin Abbott assisted.
Abbott then scored with the assist from Krywy and Dylan Bergman got the fourth goal with Mitch Dorunda assisting.
Depew cut the lead to 4-3 with 10 minutes to go in the third period, but Abbott gave the Raiders some breathing room with a breakaway goal as Gib Stuart assisted. Depew wasn't finished, adding another tally to make it 5-4 before Bergman racked up his second of the game as Abbott and Krywy assisted to put the game out of reach.
Tom Fales was outstanding in goal as Jamestown improved to 10-2 for the season.
On Sunday, the Raiders and Fairview battled to a 2-2 tie at Mercyhurst in the Lake Shore League.
With five minutes to go in the first period, Mitch Dorunda drilled a goal, assisted by Jake Andriaccio and Anthony Tomassi.
Fairview tied the game up in the second period and took the lead in the final stanza with seven minutes left, but with 40 seconds remaining, Collin Abbott scored on a give-and-go from behind the net to tie things up as Jake and Justin Andriaccio earned assists on the play.
Tom Fales handled the net for the Raiders, who outshot Fairview, 31-25.
