passed away Saturday, Jan.
12, 2013, in the Heritage
Green Rehab and Skilled
Nursing Center.
She was born Nov. 18,
1922, in Ellery Center,
N.Y., the daughter of the
late Willis and Ruby Cross
Miller. She was a 1940 gra-
duate of Bemus Point High
School.
Marjorie retired from the
Credit Bureau of James-
town and had also worked
for Sack Brothers in Bemus
Point as a secretary. She
was a member of the New
York State Ladies Home
Bureau and the Poland
Center Seniors. She en-
joyed crocheting afghans
for family members for
weddings and baby gifts.
She also liked sewing and
knitting and traveling with
her husband Paul. She will
be remembered as a very
positive person and being
close to her relatives and
neighbors.
She is survived by her
cousins: Mary Miller and
late husband Roger of
Jamestown; second
cousins: Robert Miller and
wife Conchetta of Roches-
ter; Dennis Miller and wife
Margaret of Jamestown;
Kathleen Goranson and
husband James of Oklaho-
ma City; and Lori Miller of
Penn Yan, N.Y. Also sur-
viving are her extended
family and neighbors: Ross
and Sandy Abers of Ken-
nedy, Rick and Gina Buck
and Sarah and David Inger-
son, all of Randolph.
She was preceded in
death by her husband Paul
L. Meade, whom she mar-
ried on April 8, 1961, in
Bemus Point, N.Y. and who
preceded her on Dec. 14,
2009.
Funeral services will be
held at 11 a.m. Thursday
(Jan. 17, 2013) in the Van-
Rensselaer and Son Funeral
Home, 14 Church St., Ran-
dolph. The Rev. Jennifer
Delahoy, pastor of the Ken-
nedy United Methodist
Church, will officiate. Buri-
al will be in the Randolph
Cemetery. Visitation will
be one hour prior to the ser-
