home with her family by
her side.
She was born Oct. 19,
1930, in Conewango N.Y,.
the daughter of the late
Charles G. and Mary J.
Westphal Bossman.
Marian was a 1949 gra-
duate of Randolph Central
School and was a retired
24-year employee of the
former Quality Markets
(TOPS) in Randolph where
she was the head cashier.
She had previously worked
at Webber Knapp and
Klings in Jamestown and
for the former Gallaghers
Drug Store in Randolph.
Marian was a member of
the Randolph United Pres-
byterian Church, Randolph
Veteran of Foreign Wars
Post 6533 Women's Auxili-
ary, Randolph American
Legion Unit 181 Women's
Auxiliary. She also enjoyed
spending time with her
family, baking, gardening,
reading, traveling and
walking with her husband.
She is survived by her
husband of 62 years,
Charles E. Berg, whom she
married Sept. 23, 1950; a
daughter, Marta Johnson
and husband Mike of Ran-
dolph; two grand
daughters: Autumn Hill of
North Carolina and Amber
Riddell and husband John
of Conewango Valley,
N.Y.; a sister, Catherine
Katie Bromley of James-
town; and a brother, Valen-
tine Charles Bossman of
Randolph.
She was preceded in
death by her parents; a
brother, Warren Bossman in
2010; sisters: Dorothy Pau-
ley in 2003 and Myrtle
Cornelius in 2012.
Funeral services will be
held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan.
18, 2013, in the Randolph
United Presbyterian
Church. The Rev. Leslie
Latham will officiate. Buri-
al will be in the Randolph
Cemetery.
The family will receive
friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on
Thursday (Jan. 17, 2013) in
the VanRensselaer & Son
