John J. "Knobby" Knobloch, 89, of Beaver, Pa., passed away Jan. 3, 2013, after a recent illness. He was born In Buffalo, to the late John J. Knobloch Sr. and Beatrice Caton Knobloch. He graduated from Jamestown High School in 1941, and retired as division controller of Babcock and Wilcox Steel Co.
John was predeceased by his wife, Joan Morse (also of Jamestown) in 1999; and his son, Mark Knobloch, in 1997.
He is survived by son John (Kay) and two grandchildren: Jessica and Daniel Knobloch, all of Pittsburgh; and niece Nikole Knobloch and nephew Bob (Barb) Knobloch of Jamestown.
The funeral was in Beaver, Pa., on Jan. 7.
