Mayville Story Hour To Be Thursdays

MAYVILLE - Story hour will resume at the Mayville library at 4:30 p.m. Thursdays as Melissa Bartok leads children in stories, songs, crafts and snacks. For more information, call the library at 753-7362.

Club To Host Open?House Wednesday

The Winifred Crawford Dibert Boys & Girls Club of Jamestown is having an open house from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday to honor Diane Maynard Doran, who has served for many years at the club in Jamestown and also at a club in Florida. For the last four years, Doran has served as assistant executive director for the Jamestown Boys and Girls Club. Community associates and friends, as well as club families and alumni, are welcome to attend.

Child Abuse Training Is Jan. 17

FREDONIA - A state-mandated training session for professional on identifying and reporting child abuse, maltreatment and neglect will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, at the LoGuidice Educational Center, D Building, 9520 Fredonia-Stockton Road, Fredonia. The training is required for anyone applying for a provisional or permanent certificate of license valid for administrative or supervisory service, classroom teaching service or school service. In addition to teachers and school administrators, the mandate affects school physicians, nurses, therapists and others in the health care and education fields. Participants should bring their license or certificate number if possible. A state Education Department certificate will be presented to all those participating. A $30 fee will be charged. Grange To Host Pancake Breakfast

SOUTH DAYTON - Villenova Grange 604 will serve public pancake brunch at the hall, at Balcom Corners, the intersection of Route 83 and Route 322 in South Dayton on Jan. 6 from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Large and small portions as well as take-outs are available. Salamanca Youth Board To Meet
