Diane Elaine Davis, 69 of King George, Va., passed away on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg.
She was born June 6, 1943 in Jamestown, N.Y., to Ray Cecil and Gladys Marie Pederson Finch, and was a store associate for Sheetz. She enjoyed crocheting, collecting angels, and keeping up with her family.
Diane is survived by her husband, Kenneth Oden Davis; sons: Gale Davis and Bobbie (Denise) Davis, both of Randolph County, W.Va.; daughters: Wendy (Richard) Jansen of Chapman, Kan., Brenda Beer of Belington, Va., and Laurie (David) Hawkins of Jacksonville, Fla; brothers: Raymond "Sonny" Finch, Larry Finch and Tim Finch; sisters: Jean Ickes and Bonnie Piazza; special friends: Susan, Mike, Helen, and Charlie; four granddaughters; six grandsons; and two great-grandchildren and one expected to arrive in the near future.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Kenneth Davis Jr.; brother, Barry Finch; and grandson, Nathan Bryce Davis.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, from 5-8 p.m. at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at the Funeral Home with the Rev. Curt Davis, officiating. Interment will follow in Hodam Creek Cemetery.
