Jessie Ann Bates of Venice, Fla., formerly of Centrailia, N.Y., passed away on Dec. 23, 2012.
Born on July 8, 1922, in Salamanca, N.Y., she is the daughter of Henry Hutchison and Laurel Lewis Hutchison.
She is preceded in death by her husband George, who she was married to for 61 years. She is survived by a daughter Lois (Philip) Tumminia of Venice, Fla., and a son Thomas (Tammy) Bates of Industry, Pa. She has six grandchildren: Andrew (Pamela) Tumminia of Englewood, Fla., Peter Tumminia of Memphis, Tenn., Maria (Michael) Natiello of Garrison, N.Y., Meghan (Ryan) McClure of Auburn, Wash., Andrew (Jessica) Bates of Mays-ville, N.C., and Joshua (Sandra) Bates of Industry, Pa. She is also blessed with six great-grandchildren whom she adored: Laurel and Johanna Natiello, George and Troy Bates, Jacob Bates, and Niki McClure; as well as many nieces and nephews who all loved Aunt Jessie.

She is preceded in death by two brothers: Frank and Leroy Hutchison of Texas.
She was active in Girl Scouting, was a lifetime member of the New York State PTA Association, a charter member of the Killbuck Fireman's Auxiliary and a member of the Sinclairville, N.Y., Garden Club.
Memorials may be made in her name to Hospice of Chautauqua County, 4840 West Lake Road, Mayville, NY 14757; or Tidewell Hospice, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
