Mary M. Messinger, 87, of 204 Woodworth Ave., died at 7:25 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012 in WCA Hospital.
She was born Dec. 24, 1925 in Erie, Pa., one of nine children of the late Adam and Anna Skowenski.
A Jamestown resident for over 50 years, she had been employed for many years by Chautauqua Hardware, and had done office cleaning for several area businesses.

Mary loved any time spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed crocheting.
She is survived by a son, Thomas (Jill) Messinger of Jamestown and Carol (Gary) Hogarth of Scottsboro, Ala.; five grandchildren: Jon "J.T." Messinger of Buffalo, N.Y., Renee (Kevin) Greszler of Hagerstown, Md., Ryan Messinger of Jamestown, Christopher "Chris" (Gina) Gray of Rochester, N.Y., and Lindsay (Anthony) Goss of Huntsville, Ala.; and six great-grandchildren: Ariana and Michael DiMarco and Ava and Mia Gray, all of Rochester, N.Y., Aiden Goss of Huntsville, Ala. and Charlotte Greszler of Hagerstown, Md.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by five sisters and three brothers.
The funeral will be held at 5 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. Pastor Jennifer Delahoy will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received for two hours prior to the service, from 3-5 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
