The WCA Heart Center, which specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease, recently acquired two Philips iE33 xMatrix Ultrasound Systems that provide state-of-the-art patient care with fast and specific diagnoses.
The new technology is currently being used in the Heart Center to perform echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, 3-D transeosopageal echocardiograms and pediatric echocardiograms heart studies that reveal the structural arrangement and motions of the heart for review and diagnosis.
According to Dr. James Cirbus, FACC, board certified cardiologist and medical director at the WCA Heart Center, the iE33 system addresses the clinical needs of diagnosis and assessment and provides information in treating patients with cardiovascular disease.

The iE33 system is the first echocardiography system to have fully integrated 3D cardiac quantification software. The system technology includes a widescreen flat panel monitor, integrated DVD-RW/CD-RW drive, two interactive graphical touch screens, and fully adjustable control panel.
The heart center team is thrilled with the newly acquired cardiac ultrasound technology.
