Ethan Brunner scored twice as the Fredonia Steelers topped the Jamestown Lakers, 3-1, on Saturday afternoon at the Jamestown Savings Bank Arena.
Cooper Harris opened the scoring with an unassisted goal before Brunner's first goal gave the Steelers a 2-0 lead late in the second period.
Chase Jones scored from Devin Wolfe with 9:15 remaining in the third period but the Lakers were unable to score the equalizer before Brunner's goal from Harris with 13 seconds remaining.
Austin Rott earned the win for Fredonia while Aiden Gibbons was strong in net for the Lakers.
HOUSE LEAGUE
Zach Schweger scored two goals, Patrick Radka and Aiden Melquist had one apiece in Rock Hill Engineering's 4-4 deadlock with Arby's Saturday in Chautauqua County House Hockey.
Kevin Moran, Colin Melquist, Corey Rose and Radka had assists.
Blade Ellis tallied two goals while Jacob Thorpe and Donald Dean accounted for one each for Arby's. Kate Daugharthy, Ben Welker, Justin Rowe and Thorpe recorded assists.
Andy MacCullum was the goalie for Rock Hill and Ben Lockwood for Arby's.
