To the Readers' Forum:
Thank you, two little words that mean so much. The Winged Ox Players of St. Luke's Episcopal Church would like to say thank you to all of the people and organizations that helped us with the recent production of God's Favorite. The only negative thing about saying thank you is that sometimes you accidentally leave someone out.
There are so many people to say thank you to and we hope we do not leave anybody out. Thank you to - Carol Drake and the wonderful hosts at the Robert H. Jackson Center, Kim Mann, all of the wonderful organizations who donated items for our 13 baskets (that raised over $1,000) how is that for community support! Thanks to the Coffee and Juice Ministry, Saint Agnes Altar Guild and Fictional Friends Group from St. Luke's for their generous support. To all of the parishioners of St. Luke's for their support of this fledging group of thespians and community outreach ministry.
We would be remiss if we did not thank all of the people who came to see the show and helped us raise $350 for each of our four charities (The American Red Cross, The Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy, Love Inc., and St. Susan's Center.) We would especially like to thank Father Eric Williams for all of his support, faith in the group and encouragement that we could do this.
It was amazing how the community rallied around and supported this project - Jamestown and the surrounding area is a wonderful place to live and full of generous and kind people. We hope to bring you many more productions in the future and look forward to saying those two little words many more times, thank you!
