Six Fire Departments Respond To Ellery Fire

SINCLAIRVILLE - It took six fire companies to extinguish a house fire late Friday night in the town of Ellery.

Fire companies from Sinclairville, Stockton, Ellery Center, Fluvanna, Bemus Point and the Chautauqua County FAST team all responded to a house fire on Pickard Road in Sinclairville.

According to James Farman, first assistant with the Maple Springs Fire Department, the fire was called in at 6:58 p.m. and first responders arrived at the fire at 7:01 p.m.

The cause of the fire is still unknown, however the fire remained internal and extra units were called in to help extinguish it, according to the police scanner. At no point could flames be seen from the outside.

There were no fatalities or injuries as a result of the fire.
