Dorothy M. Cameron, 80, of Jamestown, passed away Friday, (Dec, 14, 2012), in her home.
A lifelong area resident, she was born Dec, 3, 1932, in Frewsburg, the daughter of the late Horace F. and Vera I. Johnson Nelson.
Dorothy was a graduate of Frewsburg High School, and prior to retirement was employed by Ethan Allen and Truck Lite.

She was an avid reader, and devoted time and resources to many charities. She was also fond of following the accomplishments and activities of her extended family. Dorothy enjoyed reminiscing about family history through home movies, stories and photographs. She also enjoyed spending time with her dog, Susie Q.
Dorothy is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Cameron, whom she married Nov, 22, 1972, who died June 21, 1995; two brothers: Frederick O. Nelson in 1956 and Wayne A. Nelson in 2002.
A private burial will be observed at the conveni-ence of the family.
