SHERMAN - A monster game by Elle Reed was enough to propel Sherman to a lopsided victory over Ripley, 71-18, in girls Division 4 basketball action on Tuesday night.
Reed delivered the exceedingly rare quadruple-double (the second of her career) as she poured in 30 points, 12 of which came by virtue of the 3-pointer, to go along with 11 rebounds, 11 steals and 10 assists.
Led by Reed, the Lady Wildcats (3-0, 1-0) took a commanding lead at the end of the first period, 25-5, and then ballooned the advantage to 27 points, 37-10, at the break to cruise to victory.

Also for the winners, Bridget Yaw chipped in with 22 points and Danielle Reed led with nine rebounds.
For Ripley (0-2, 0-1), which was held scoreless in the fourth quarter, Melanie McCutchen led with 10 points and nine rebounds.

ELLICOTTVILLE - It was another solid outing for Ellicottville's Janae Hamilton as the Lady Eagles (2-2) routed Brocton, 61-18.
Hamilton poured in 24 points as Ellicottville dominated the game from start to finish. Marissa Hamilton added 12 points and Ashley Wilson netted 11 points in the victory.
