Panama School?Board To Meet

PANAMA - The Panama Central School Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the board room. The public is welcome to attend.

Marsh Advent Series To End

DUNKIRK - Ann Park-Rose, pianist, will be featured at the second and last recital in the 1012 Marsh Memorial Advent series in the Dunkirk Presbyterian Church, 19 W. Fourth St., at noon Wednesday. The concert is free and those attending should take a bag lunch. Coffee will be provided. Ms. Park-Rose was born in South Korea. She began playing the piano at age 5 and improvising and composing at a very early age. She achieved a degree in composition and piano from Wilfrid Laurier University, Ontario, Canada and a master's degree in performance at the State College at Fredonia School of Music. Ms. Park-Rose has appeared with the Canadian Chamber ensemble, has been seen on CBS television and is the winner of numerous competitions and awards including the WLU concerto competition. She is married to violist David Rose.

Library To Host Book Signing

BEMUS POINT - The Bemus Point Library will host a book signing from 7-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, with Geof Jowett, a Bemus Point native. Jowett will present his new book, "What's Cooking in Heaven Grandma?" Jowett is an intuitive medium and shares wisdom of grandmothers for a good and happy life from Heaven. An angel wreath will be given away to benefit the library. Refeshments will be served. The signing is free and open to the public. For more information, call 386-2274.

Frewsburg Winter Concerts Scheduled

FREWSBURG - The Frewsburg Music Department will hold its winter concerts Tuesday and Wednesday. High school ensembles will perform Tuesday beginning at 7 p.m. in the Harry J. Murray Auditorium at Frewsburg's Middle/High School. Elementary and middle school ensembles will continue the entertainment on Wednesday beginning at 7 p.m. in the same location. Both concerts will feature popular holiday selections. Admission is free.

Soil, Water Board To Meet Thursday

The Chautauqua County Soil and Water Conservation District board will meet at noon Thursday, Dec. 20, at the district office, 3542 Turner Road, Jamestown. The public is welcome to attend.
