Legion Breakfast Is Sunday
CELORON - The breakfast committee from the Herman Kent American Legion Post 777 in Celoron, is holding its monthly breakfast at the post Sunday. Breakfast will include a full buffet with eggs, home fries, sausage, ham, French toast, sausage gravy and Danish or the 777 3-egg omelet for only $6/adult, $3/kids 10 and under, and the hours are 8:30-11:30 a.m.
Film Director Unable To Attend
The film, "Dear Governor Cuomo," will be shown at 7 p.m. on Thursday in the Carnahan Center Theatre on Jamestown Community College's Jamestown Campus. Due to a scheduling conflict, Jon Bowermaster, the film's director, is unable to introduce the film as originally scheduled. The event, free and open to the public, is sponsored by the college program committee of JCC's Faculty Student Association.
Area Blood Drives Scheduled
Upcoming blood drives sponsored by the American Red Cross include: noon to 6 p.m. on Monday at Blessed Mary Roman Catholic Church, Dunkirk, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, at the Chautauqua Mall. The Robert Fralick Blood Donation Center is open every from 12:30-5:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the Red Cross office on East Fourth Street, Jamestown, throughout the year.
Ripley Board To Meet Today
RIPLEY - The Ripley Central School Board of Education will meet today at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. The public is invited to attend.
Thule Lodge To Meet Saturday
BEMUS POINT - The Thule Lodge, located at 4123 Pancake Hill Road, will hold its monthly meeting this Saturday at the lodge at 2 p.m. Following the meeting, the annual Swedish Christmas festival of food, known as the Dopp I Gryta will be held. The Swedish phrase stands for the dipping of the bread, as different kinds of bread will be served and dipped into a sauce. Korv, beets, pickled herring, ham, red potatoes, cheese and cookies will be served. All members of the lodge are encourage to attend.
IDA To Meet Tuesday
The Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency board will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the IDA's board room, 200 Harrison St., Jamestown. The Chautauqua Region Industrial Development Corp. board will meet following the IDA board meeting, with the Chautauqua County Capital Resource Corp. board meeting to follow. The public is welcome to attend.
Salamanca To Meet Tuesday
SALAMANCA - The Salamanca City Central School District Board of Education will hold a "Special Meeting" on Tuesday. This meeting will be for the Board of Education to act on a personnel appointment and will be held at 8 a.m. in the Superintendent's Office.
Auto Club To Meet Wednesday
The Chautauqua Lake Region Antique Automobile Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, in the Fluvanna War Vets. Guests are welcome to attend. The club is open to anyone interested in antique and classic automobiles. For more information, call Al Oag at 483-6287.
