Jeanne Leora Boyer Frederick, 86, of Foote Avenue, Jamestown, N.Y., passed away Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at the Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing Center.
She was born Oct. 15, 1926, in Tryonville, Pa., the daughter of the late Raymond and Dorothy Graves Boyer.
Jeanne was a graduate of Townsville High School, Townsville, Pa., as well as nursing school and later became a Cadet Nurse during World War II. She was a 25-year employee of Truck-Lite in Jamestown from 1967-92. She had attended the Living Waters Church in Busti.
In her leisure time she enjoyed puzzles and doing crossword puzzles. Jeanne loved the outdoors and often went on long walks in the woods and enjoyed hunting, fishing, swimming, camping and woodworking.
She is survived by her three children: Elaine Frederick-Crist, Joyce Abers and Peter Frederick, all of Jamestown; a sister: Cecile Kelley of Erie, Pa.; and brother, Kenneth Boyer of Guys Mills, Pa.; eight grandchildren: Michael Lane, Jason Stahlman, Sharon Torrey, Jennifer Abers, Laura Abers, Chris-topher Frederick, Joel and Aimee Frederick; three great-grandchildren: Taylor Lane, Matthew Frederick and Kaden.
She was preceded by her husband Floyd Frederick, whom she married Sept. 1, 1948, and who preceded her on Aug. 28, 1994; a son, Paul Frederick; three brothers: Joseph, Howard and Waldren Boyer; and two sisters: Violet Reagle and Helen Kitlinger.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the Van-Rensselaer & Son Funeral Home, 14 Church St., Ran-dolph, NY 14772. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Levant Cemetery, Falconer.
The Rev. Dale Keefer, pastor of Fluvanna Community Church, will offici-ate. Memorials may be sent to the Living Waters Church in Busti, N.Y.
