Christmas Cantata Is This Sunday
NORTH HARMONY - The Christmas cantata "The Holiest of Nights" will be presented at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, at North Harmony United Methodist Church, Stedman-Sherman Road. The Magnolia, North Harmony, and Magnolia United Methodist church choirs will participate. Soloists will be Ray Zdunski, Patty Zdunski, Ron Miller and Juanita Jackson with Pastor John Jackson as the narrator. The audience will hear familiar carols as well as some new ones. A tureen dinner will follow the performance. Those attending are asked to bring a dish to pass and their own table service.
Christmas Music Event Is Saturday
The Community Praise Choir will present "O Holy Might" and other Christmas songs Saturday at the Busti Church of God and Sunday at Fluvanna Community Church. Both performances will begin at 7 p.m. Churches involved include the Busti Church Of God, Fluvanna Community Church, Jamestown Church of God, Lakeview Bible Church and Martin Road Christian Fellowship. The public is welcome to attend.
Frewsburg Board To Meet Thursday
FREWSBURG - The Frewsburg Central School board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the middle/high school library. The public is welcome to attend.
Thrift Store Offers All Sizes
St. Luke's Thrift Shop, 409 Pine St. between East Fourth and Fifth streets, Jamestown, has a large selection of ladies plus sized clothing up to 6X as well as men's suits and blazers. Winter clothing for all, jewelry, and small household items, all in good, clean condition, are available. Donations, especially children's clothing, would be appreciated. The shop is open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. Donated items are received 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesdays or any day the shop is open for business. The shop will be closed Christmas week. There is off-street parking at the church parking lot just off of Fifth Street. This is a nonprofit enterprise with all proceeds going to local outreach. The shop is run by volunteers, many of whom are with RSVP.
Outdoor Club To Ski Sunday
On Sunday, the Allegheny Outdoor Club will ski or hike from Dunham Siding, on the Allegheny National Forest, to Chapman State Park. Participants will meet at Dunham Siding at 1 p.m. For more information, call Dennis Anderson in Jamestown at 483-2288 or 969-9772.
Choir Celebrates 25th Anniversary
CATTARAUGUS - The Cattaraugus Community Choir, celebrating its 25th anniversary, will perform the cantata "A Journey of Hope: The Birth of the Savior" at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Cattaraugus United Methodist Church. The public is welcome to attend.

The Cornell Cooperative Extension - Chautauqua County board of directors will met at 7 p.m. Monday, at the Frank Bratt Agricultural Center, 3542 Turner Road, Jamestown. The public is welcome to attend.
