Zack Panebianco scored 14 points and had seven rebounds, six assists and three steals to earn the game’s most valuable player award, helping Jamestown down Williamsville South in the Cataract Classic in Niagara Falls on Saturday.

Elle Reed scored 23 points in an opening-round victory in the Lady Cougars Tipoff Tournament last Tuesday. On Thursday, she scored a school-record 38 points and had seven rebounds, six assists and three blocked shots in a championship game win. The 38 points broke the previous school mark of 36, set by Pam Waite in 1984. For her efforts, Reed was named the tournament’s MVP.

Freshman Ryan Hetrick pinned his 106-pound opponent in a win over Gowanda last Tuesday. On Friday and Saturday, he recorded four pins, a technical fall and two shutout decisions to win the 99-pound title at the Sgt. Richard Romesser Attica Blue Devil Challenge. His record this season is 9-0.
