Ashville Fire District Election Is Tuesday

ASHVILLE - Ashville Fire District will hold its annual election Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Ashville Fire Station, 5338 Stow Road, Ashville. Two commissioner terms are up for election, a five-year term and a two-year term. All registered voters in the North Harmony/Ashville Fire District are urged to vote. The monthly district meeting will also be held at 7 p.m. All community members interested in the Maple Street property should plan to attend.

Pizza Hut To Host Camp Gross Benefit

FREDONIA - Pizza Hut in Fredonia will donate 20 percent of the bills of its customers to the Camp Gross Foundation Inc., a nonprofit organization that maintains the property in Cassadaga for youth camping, fromm 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Pizza Hut customers must fill out a short form for Camp Gross to receive the money. Forms will be available at the checkout during the target hours. Members of the board will also be available to answer questions about the camp. Camp Gross Foundation is a United Way agency.

Parent Network To Offer Seminar

The Parent Network of Western New York will offer a workshop titled, "Sensory Processing Disorder" for families of individuals with disabilities from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Connections North, 10825 Bennett Road, Dunkirk. The workshop will discuss how to work with children that seem unsteady, uncoordinated and sensitive to sounds and touch, and also cover ways to determine if a challenging behavior is a choice or a simple reaction to what is happening around them. Participants will gain an understanding of how the senses work and ways to improve their functions.

Diers To Appear On?Senior Report

MAYVILLE - Senior Report with Reed Powers will have Doug Diers as the guest on the Dec. 15 television program. Diers is director of the Chautauqua County Veterans Agency. The live, call-in program airs from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday. Individuals may call 753-5225 with questions or comments. The program is rebroadcast each day at 2 and 8 p.m. for some communities. The series highlights senior citizen club news for 15 minutes with the remainder of the hour-long program devoted to the featured guest. The guest is subject to change. Senior Report is shown live Saturday mornings on Time Warner cable systems covering the following communities: Brocton, Cassadaga, Chautauqua, Fredonia, Mayville, North Harmony, Portland, Ripley, Sherman, Stockton and Westfield on Channel 5. In Dunkirk, Forestville, Hanover, Irving and Silver Creek the program is on channel 19. The show originates at the Access Channel 5 studio in Mayville.
