With 110 individual units, ranging in several different sizes, Riverwalk Self Storage provides customers a secured and climate controlled storage facility.
On Thursday, Jim Sirianno, Riverwalk Self Storage owner, hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to show off his new business. Sirianno said, so far without much advertising, he has rented 26 percent of the units available. He said the storage units range from 5-by-5 feet to 15-by-30 feet spaces. Rent ranges from $35 to $200 a month depending on the unit.
The indoor storage facility is climate controlled, maintaining temperatures between 50 to 55 degrees all winter long, and with relative humidity between 40 to 60 percent. Heat and air constantly flow through the facility.

Riverwalk Self Storage offers climate controlled individual storage units that come in several different sizes in a secured facility with 24-hour, seven days a week video-recorded surveillance.

''One of the things I'm proudest of is the wooden floor. We were able to save the skating rink's floor,'' Sirianno said. ''It is the best humidity controller, too.''
For a limited time, shelves will also be available for storage units. Sirianno said he has acquired metal shelving used for record storage and can install them for free inside a storage unit while supplies last. Sirianno encouraged people to visit the facility during business hours, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Saturday and Sunday and after business hour appointments can also be made by call Sirianno at 203-1592.
''People need to come in and see it for themselves,'' he said.
The secured facility offers 24-hour, seven days a week video-recorded surveillance. Only tenants have access to the building. The facility offers fire suppression and sprinkler system security, as well. There is garage door access for large loads. Sirianno hired BETCO, a single-source manufacturer of metal self-storage buildings, from North Carolina to assemble the facility.
The business offers online billing, auto payment and accepts credit cards. For more information, visit www.riverwalkss.com. People can also email Sirianno at info@riverwalkss.com.
