SOUTH DAYTON - Kayla Mansfield's three-point play in the opening 20 seconds set the stage for Pine Valley in a 43-31 girls basketball victory over Fredonia in the Pine Valley Tournament Friday night.

After Mansfield's score, the Lady Panthers went on to a 14-6 first quarter advantage and extended that to 13-8 in the second for a 27-14 edge at the halftime.

Coach Tim Nobles credits half-court and full-court pressure that resulted in 35 turnovers as a key to the victory.
