LAKEWOOD - The Lakewood Memorial Library is hosting the original seasonal porcelain artwork of Elaine Caflisch, students and friends.
The exhibit features festive serving pieces for the dinner table and a collection of Christmas tree ornaments. Many styles of painting are represented, including wipe-outs and paint-ins. All pieces are fired in a kiln for permanency and are done on glazed or bisque surfaces. There are several ornaments painted by now deaceased friends including Bonnie Migliore, Norma Anderson, Ida White and Carol Sanden. Students and friends include Kathy Swanson, Thelma Ecklund, Rose Marie Elder, Ann Brown, Linda Mason, Denise Snyder-Norberg, Jill Jarrett, Helen Bigg, Deanna Fischer, Ruth and Laurie Wilcox, Heidi Bird, Joyce Swanson, and J. Marguerite Wallgren.
The display will be available to view through Dec. 28.
In January, the library will feature Lynn Kinnear's works. Library hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays and Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fridays and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
