Donald C. Schrader Jr., 51, of 2899 Burton Road, Jamestown, died at 5:02 p.m. Monday (Dec. 3, 2012), in the WCA Hospital.
He was born in James-town on April 19, 1961, the son of Donald and Deanna Torsell Schrader of James-town.
Don was a 1979 graduate of Southwestern High School, and excelled on the track and cross country team, where he had set several records. He also par-ticipated in the high school plays. He was also a graduate of Nashville Auto Diesel School. He once ran around Chautauqua Lake to raise money for the American Cancer Society. He currently was employed as a world class automotive technician at Larry Spacc Pontiac GMC Truck Inc. in Dunkirk. Don previously was employed in the same capacity at E.B. Smith GMC dealership in Nashville for many years.

He was a former post commander of the Sons of the American Legion Samuel Derby Post 556, a member of the Busti Volunteer Fire Department and a communicant of St. James Catholic Church.
He loved his parents, children and sisters, and cherished being back in the area with his parents.
Besides his parents, he is survived by a son, Donald C. Schrader III and a daughter, Cayla Schrader, Nashville, Tenn.; three sisters: Wanda (Randy) McCray, Raleigh, N.C., Tanya (Phillip) Dickinson, Erie, Pa., and Lorraine (Ernest) Arbogast, Manchester, Mich.; three nieces: Amanda Dickinson, Erie, Pa., Audrey and Gloria Arbogast, Manchester, Mich.; two nephews: Daniel Dickinson, Erie, Pa., and Henry Arbogast, Manchester, Mich.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday in St. James Catholic Church. The Rev. Darrell G. Duffy, pastor, will be the celebrant.
Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. in the Hubert Funeral Home And Cremation Services, where a Christian Wake Service will be held at 4 p.m..
