Bemus Library To Show Movie 'Elf'

Cookie Walk Set For Dec. 15
DEWITTVILLE - The Dewittville-Hartfield United Methodist Church, Route 430 Meadows Road, Dewittville, will host its annual cookie walk from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Dec. 15. Cookies are $4 per dozen or $23 for six dozen.
Concert Of Praise Set For Sunday
A Christmas concert of praise will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday in Healing Word Ministries Church of God, 1006 W. Third St., Jamestown. The event will be a night of praise and worship through song, praise dance and poetry for the Christmas season.
Financial Aid Night Is Dec. 13
PANAMA - Panama Central School will host a financial aid night at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13. The event is for parents of Panama juniors and seniors. Dane Simmons will review the types of financial aid, the application process and how to interpret aid packages.
McDonald's To Host Santa Claus
Santa Claus is coming to the East Second Street McDonald's in Jamestown from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13. Every child to attend the event will receive an early Christmas present from Santa and a chance to share their Christmas wish list with him. McDonald's staff will assist Santa in handing out all the presents to the children. The East Second Street McDonald's location has hosted the event for the past 12 years. Last year, Santa handed out more than 500 presents to children in the community and is expected to do the same this year.
Senior Group To Meet Tuesday
SINCLAIRVILLE - The Sinclairville Senior Citizens will meet on Tuesday at noon in the Sinclairville fire hall dining room for the annual Christmas dinner and program. This is a correction from the original date.
Storytime Event Set For Dec. 14
BUSTI - The Hazeltine Public Library in Busti is holding a special Children's Christmas Storytime event on Friday, Dec. 14, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Children will enjoy stories read by Mrs. Claus, crafts and snack time. Lighting Contest Set For Dec. 15
SOUTH DAYTON - The village of South Dayton is sponsoring a Christmas lighting contest with no specific theme. Lights will be judged on Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. First prize is $75, second prize is $50 and honorable mention is $25 with winners to be notified to receive their awards at the library on Monday, Dec. 17 at 6:30 p.m.
