Allen Park Women's Club will celebrate their Christmas Coffee at the Robert H. Jackson Center on Saturday at 10 a.m.
Entertainment will be provided by a quartet from the Sweet Adelines. Those wishing to are asked to bring a gift for Toys for Tots. Also, they can donate pajamas for elementary students at a local grade school. The following committee will provide coffee and pastries or cookies: Carol Drake, chairwoman, assisted by Sally Beckstrom, Cindy Connor and Marsha Leonard.
Final plans will be made for the caroling around the fire at the Allen Park Pavilion, which will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 6 p.m. Caroling will be led by the Jamestown High School Madrigal Singers under director Norm Lydell. Santa Claus will arrive on a sleigh for the children, and sleigh rides will be provided around the park for everyone. Hot chocolate and cookies will be provided by the club. This is one way that the club gives back to the community as everything is free. The committee is Cindy DiNapoli, chairwoman, Candy Joslyn, Carol Winterburn and Shannon Neubauer.
